    I dont think is for the generation also because PS3, PS Vita and other system from also other Company are still in production, and this forum is FULL of dev/test kits sales. (maybe because these NEW gen need to be activated, but I am not giving any activation... so I am safe.)
    But... curious why (?)

    When they are not activated they cannot run most debug applications, cant run retail game discs/builds, cant do alot of things or so I am told.
