If it worked 100% it would be amazing but I have a very strong feeling it will just be a mega Drive on a chip that somehow sends the video/Sound data through the SNES. I'd like to be wrong though. Yakumo
You nailed it Yakumo. They have these at my local game store, there 24usd,from what I heard its emulation so they have crappy sound, what you would expect from a clone, also there is one so you play fami games on a super fami/snes.
Amazing how times change. If there had been something like this in 1994... just imagine. There's an overabundance of Mega Drive clones lately, is there not? Like there were new Famiclones some 4, 5 years ago...
Bingo; it doesn't even do that much. It's a GOAC that pulls power from the SNES pinout and uses the control inputs. The A/V cables plug straight into the adapter, it doesn't use the SNES outputs.
Now, what would really be cool is a Saturn converter for the Genesis. Or how about a PlayStation adapter for the SNES, ala SNES CD? Who am I kidding, I still would never buy them.
Well, I should have known better. If it's from China it's going to be some cheap shit that doesn't work well . Interesting at first but now, no so.
I believe its the same one that the pokefami dx comes with (other portable snes thats exclusive to asian countries atm). Also comes with a famicom one too. Go to the 3:26 mark to see it in action in this review of the pokefami dx. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXLd...xt=C385a24cUDOEgsToPDskL0sIZDEBLrMyKWMz8cHmsL
Just think how nifty it would be if it weren't garbage. It's like there is some kind of rule that not pirate clone can even be 1:1 with accuracy and quality. If that happened I assume the universe would implode.
It's not out of the realm of possibility. If you could build a very small PC that would run BSNES and program it to use a cartridge slot, then you'd have almost 1:1 accuracy. I think that will probably happen one day (technically, it's already possible).
