They never did release a Wii U XL

I kinda used to joke that maybe Nintendo would release a Wii U XL someday, with a controller screen much bigger in size. Even tho it's a joke they actually could have done it as they've done that with both the DS and the 3DS. Funny that they never did. Do you guys think you would have bought a WiiU XL had they ever released one?

 

Nah. I always try to avoid using that screen controller when possible.

 

I wish you weren't forced to use it so much. And that Netflix playback didn't also play on the controller too. Hate it.

 

Youtube also mirrors on the game pad and yes it's annoying.

 

They should have made the controller smaller, Vita Size would have been ideal.

 

Agreed. If the gamepad didn't suck so much I might have actually bought a Wii U.

 

I still kind of want one, but Between the consoles I have, my PS4 preorders and my Raspberry Pi I have plenty to play for a very long time.

 

I love the wii u controller! I'm posting from it right now, actually.

I prefer to use it over the tv and get disapointed when a game doesn't support it.

 

Nintendo NX, Wii XL.... Both have capital X's in their name. Coincidence? I think not!

I do love the Wii U, but I have to admit, they could have made the darn controller feel a bit more premium. Either smaller and vita like, or thinner and more sturdy. Maybe with a larger screen, and a harder nicer feeling touch screen. Ya know, like a tablet. *wink*

 

I agree, they should have actually made the controller smaller. If they got it down to Vita size I think I would have enjoyed it more.

 

Like a table with 23" display, two arcade sticks and pedals.

 

Nintendo would never do that considering the poor sales of the Wii U and it is already big enough in my opinion.

 

Yes, I try to do the same, and fortunately, Xenoblade Chronicle X can be played with a Wii U Pro controller

 

Honestly the WiiU tablet thingy is bulky enough as it is. To make it any bigger would make it extremely uncomfortable

 

Wellllll, hate to break it to you, but by most accounts they're doing EXACTLY that with the NX.
