Things I would ban in Japan

Yes, they are connected to the Yakuza. You always hear about it, and most people think it's a myth. Someone set me straight. They won't kill you, but if they know where you live and you piss them off, you'll get worked over. I can't remember who told me... it was someone that was in law enforcement (or security) somewhere.

 

distributors all close at 11pm even if it's just softdrinks or other useful things? (dream of some living "after hours Scorsese" feeling) with no one to speak except a machine :drool:


i didnt go yet but things i heard and would ban

1. Clerks hypocrisy

2. Roppongi afro-american & white hustlers & other gaijin assholes : military g.i.

3. Occidental groups of Geeks & Nerds (would be a nightmare to go there with such people who constantly dream away and talk loud and stop each second or each store each day AND would ruin your holidays)

4. Cigarettes in arcades

5. Super potato prices

6. Ganguros

7. fashion elitists attitude (and all black glasses styled people)

7. girls with bad teeth !!

Jeez, and Japan has a problem with the declining birth rate already! Now we have to add underpopulation to the list?

 

caincan, you will definitely have your work cut out for you. But, while I think most of what you listed is all pretty ass stuff, it is what makes Japan Japan (or atleast makes Tokyo Tokyo).

 

You know what should be banned. F*ing train announcers speaking over the pre-recorded announcement. They tell you the exact thing that the pre-reordered announcement tells you but now thanks to those arse holes speaking over it you can't understand either of them. All you get is a bloody shit load of noise.

At least you're blessed with a decent passenger train system over there - poor old Amtrak is a bit of a joke compared to rail services in nearly every other 1st world country. :-(

I'm having difficulty thinking of much else in Japan that pissed me off to the degree that I'd ban it. No doubt, that'd change if I ever lived there, but on the whole, the plusses outweighed the minuses for me.

Ok then - here's something. I'd ban the Tokyo rush-hour commuter crush & I'd ban the fact that everything is soooooo darned expensive! :icon_bigg
