There was one really weird XBL indie game, it made absolutley no sense, like you bicycled around on an ms paint background with loads of weird shit until you got in a rocket, went into space and then shaved someones head and had to take a red or blue pill at the end. Even exaplining it makes it sound more normal than it is. I'll try and get the name of it and a video at some point and post it here. You just wont believe the fuckeries that it is.
I know, but a Japanese PS2 would play all those Simple Series exclusives, whereas a PS1 wouldn't. I mean, I could get an early Japanese launch PS3, but the vast majority of PS3 games will work on my US system.
While I agree with you about Beyond 2 Souls (cant say about Indigo Prophecy cause I never played it) I have to strongly disagree with you about Heavy Rain. For me its my second favorite game. The story is awesome, the gameplay is a bit weird but I got used to it pretty quick, I loved how they had you playing 4 different people and if any of them died the game continued, the fact that your choices changed the ending was awesome, plus there is a shit ton of different endings, the twist does seem a bit stereotypical but it still managed to catch me off guard the first time playing, and I loved the weird challenging qte scenes. I will admit the game has a VERY slow start. And for me getting through that can be tough. But after that the game gets very interesting very quickly. And the game is pretty depressing but I guess that's what they where shooting for. Overall I think they did a fantastic job at telling an interesting story with an ending that changes based on how good you are and the decisions you made. Sorry for my pro Heavy Rain rant but I love the game to much to not reply
Ok, so I found out the game's name and a video of it. Be ready to be tripped the fuck out. Starts at around 35 seconds
You are very courageous and I admire your perseverance. I managed to get through the game, but it took ALL my courage! lol It's not just the start that is slow, some chapters are(like the "glass tunnel", god I hated that part!) and there is some chapters that I did not feel like playing at all (the kids "flashback").
I have played the game a few times through already and I figured out that in the glass tunnel when you get to the part where he won't turn the right way I just turn the wrong way, then turn around lol. And the game is very slow but I kind of like it that way. And the level with the 2 kids playing in the construction site is a bit boring but it pretty important to the story.
Hehe, I can understand that. I'll have to admit that the first time I played through it, I played it in almost one sitting and the whole game in one weekend. It was really captivating and I tend to put story rich games on a pedestal anyway so it kinda had everything going for it. So yeah, I really liked it at the time, but I guess I've become so cynical after Beyond Two Souls and seeing how well you can make a game like this (any recent telltale game) that I just can't look at it without having it's flaws scream at my face.
Yep spot on this is as strange as it comes. I picked this up years ago and remember getting a few mates around to play on my new shooter (no pun intended) oh how I wanted to die when I loaded up a homo erotic knightmare!!!!
