Look at the pics with the pliers in them and the pic of C26. Dunno if there's any going back now. Anyone got a power board for sale or thinks they can fix it?

Losing the plating isn't a huge deal, you can solder to the top and the bottom sides of the board on the parts legs.

That's a model 1 Sega CD power board, ehh? Did it work before you attempted to recap it?

Looks like there is a via next to the negative leg (of C26) that was pulled out of board... Maybe trace the via and link the leg to the next point in line? (I feel for you - I scrapped a PSOne board because I completely ripped clean a couple SMD caps from the board attempting a recap... Soooo frustrating. It was faulty when I started though, so no huge loss.)

Edit - Negative, not positive. ;)
Edit two - Or was it the positive via that was pulled? o_O

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, but I can't find anywhere on the board that's a good place to put it.

Nope. Have and still have no idea whats up with it, this is just a shot in the dark.

Damn, that sucks. Yeah, recapping can be total hell anyways. Lucky for you it was something easy to find, I can't seem to find this power board anywhere. That is an idea for the soldering down the line, but where is a good point? Kinda -no, really- confusing when I can't see any traces.

When I was recapping my MCD1 power board I too found that some of the caps were impossible to remove without pulling the solderpads off. This was using a proper desolsering gun too.
It's not the neatest solution, but I just cut all the capacitor legs flush to the board and soldered the new ones on top.

That is a much better idea, Bearking. Sounds easier as well.
