Im never going to play a PC FPS. I dont necessarily want to flush my money down the toilet in buying 6 million components to make it run flawlessly. Also, its an FPS. I could play tons of those on the Xbox or Xbox 360. To me, its all about how fun the game is, not how good it looks. Far Cry: Instincts for the Xbox was the best looking Xbox game I have, but it wasnt nearly as fun as the other less graphically impressive FPS titles I have for it.

Besides, I like RTSs anyway!

Madhatter256: look at the grass in the forground of the bottom picture(the right side picture), then you will see the grass is not grass. But yes I am VERY impressed, but the price isn´t worth it, in my mind.

I would just upgrade, but i'm planning on getting a laptop (which ends up meaning that i'll be stuck with whaever I get in it for years to come). I got a laptop a few months ago, but it was more of a temporary one until directX10 comes out. It's just powerful enough to run Unreal Tornament 2K4 on max (-res) settings).

I want to get a high end comp not so much for playing games, but because I have a great deal of interest in using the crysis engine for mods. I've been using the UT2K4 engine for mod making for a year or so now, and I hate it. But i'd rather spend my free time learning new modeling packages instead of game engines, so i'm waiting for a real leap in tech before learning a new one, and Crysis looks to fit that bill quite nicly (more so then Unreal3).

I would not suggest buying top of the line gpu's to anyone who simply wants to play games using them, but that's not a catagory I fit into.
