I like to mess around with corel since about 10 years ago and I have random crap everywhere, here's one I did some time ago:

About a month ago I started messing around with 3ds max too, this is my first "decent" pic. I'm just starting, but I'm learning quickly for the really few time I have for it:

Barcode - I like the texture of the pic, looks like ancient mayan inscriptions or something. Good work!

Killemall, those are awesome. I can't get 3Dsmax to run on my weak system myself.

What kind of PC do you have? I'm running quite well with my computer, if all you want to do is 3d model design (with no animation), a Pentium 4 with 512 MB of RAM and a 128 MB video card must be more than enough.

@ Barcode: Was that influenced by Trogdor? :p

EDIT: My crappy contribution to the thread.
    EDIT 2: Picture moved.

    Thread resurrection :katamari:.

Just thought I'd share what I created today.

And something I created a while ago but have kept editing (and still I can't get the face to look real...*sigh*).

[Click for higher res version (2376x2261)] The full image is 5808x5024 and 7.99MB in compressed JPEG :eek:h:

Unorthodox, that face is way more real that I could ever draw, nice job!

BTW, this is the work of 3 hours messing around with 3ds max (I'm still having troubles with the wooden objects and the reflections still look really pixellated...)
EDIT: I just noticed that the pic looks a bit crappy 'cause of the JPG compression, so here it is the link to a higher quality pic (912KB)

I was pretty high for this one. Actually I was really high.

This is what I drew the first time I did acid. It's nothing special but I thought it was pretty neat when I looked back on it later.

This was my last art project. The fuzzy-looking thing didn't turn out like I hoped it would, and I had already sprayed it with fixer at that point. Oh well.

Heh he heh... acid.... those were the days. I'm too old for halucenagens now though. I don't think I could handle it today.

I tried drawing once while frying back in the day, nothing coherent came out, plus I just ended up staring at the page for three hours.

Unorthodox, good work! I love Oddworld, that's like my favorite series ever

DRussian, that pic is awesome. You've got some real talent there.

Killemal & Marisil, excellent work. 3D is the future, need to learn it myself.

Well, I think all the stuff here is great, and nice to see, whether it be digital or traditionally drawn.

Unorthodox - that face looks good! I'd say that maybe to give it a bit more "realism", try to be a bit more selective on what you outline. Try looking at some pictures of faces that are similar - black and white are good. Or screw up your eyes when you look at it. What stands out? Look more at defining edges with tone. You have great tonal definition in the cheeks and above the top lip. A common mistake that people make is totally outlining lips - try letting the top lip mostly define itself with blending.

I'll show you an unfinished sketch I did of a friend, and a painting of another. I'm not saying they're great (I'm not happy with the sketch yet), but maybe they'll give you some pointers.
