My experence with it wasn't all that fun but I saw this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Superstars It has NIGHTS!!!!!!! I no need Wii now.........or do I? That alone would be worth buying one but what about other Eye Toy games? What are your thoughts on the eye toy?
I bought the Sega Superstars game for my kids and have had a couple of shots on it. The most fun we had with the Eye toy was watching my nephew singing & dancing to one of those musical PS 2 games titles (can't remember which one). He really didn't care that he had an audience. He was on TV as far as he was concerned.
What the!? I have never even heard of this game for the Eye Toy... and its been out since.... 2004? :crying: I bought the Eye Toy in its first month of release and had a little fun with it. Then I just waited for more titles to be released. Waiting and waiting didnt do anything. I didnt see anything that grabbed my interest in the least bit. So years later I discover some drivers that you can install on your PC to make it a Webcam. So thats what my Eye Toy has been doing ever since! I am definately going to have to buy this game however. :icon_bigg
How is it that the appearance of Nights on PS2 was seemingly glossed over. I realize that it seems to be just a mini game of sorts, but it's still Nights. I probably would have picked up a used PS2 just to try this out.
The first one who posts a video of himself playing NIGHTS on EyeToy "raising his/her arms into a 'flying' position and adjusting them along the way" (quote:wiki), is getting a free goodie from me. Just thinking of that makes me smile.
You mean you guys never knew a very simple mini game based on NiGHTS was on Sega All Stars? Where were you? I though everyone knew that? Oh well. If you haven't tried it then don't be expecting anything like the Saturn game. Yakumo
It was a bit simple, probably the best game to be more true to the original was the Samba da Amigo game which gave all the fun of the original without having to have expensive maracas. The other games are a bit hit and miss, crazy taxi is dire in a word...
now im going to have to dig out my eyetoy and start playing again! completly forgot about that game, was quite fun as well, specially the samba game (dammt now i want to find out my maracas!) i like the nights one, but couldnt get the hang of it, my son was pretty good though
Never heard of it either, and it's pretty cheap on eBay AND I just saw an Eye Toy at a local pawn shop earlier today. I love it when a plan comes together.
Yeah I don't expect much, however seeing Nights on a platform with the PS2's power is what interests me. It's a novelty I'm sure, but I've made far greater purchases for far less payout in the past.
