Oh, that early childhood dream that never was, announced in many magazines but never made it to the stores. I clearly remember reading that it was produced to at least a playable prototype stage but I can't find any information about it. Any ideas?
I know, I am talking about a possible unfound prototype. I wonder happened to it and if there were any screenshots published somewhere.
I loved Thundercats as a child. I too was interested in seeing the game but as always, the thing you want most never arrives. Still, at least we have those wonderful out takes from the voice recordings. Yakumo
I think that the closest thing is the Amiga version http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ikqb1YBffrE though we should expect fewer colors. Elite software did a hideous job with the sound part. Even LJN would do it better (and I bet that they were developing the NES version).
Indeed, the sound effect when Lion-O jumps is tragic. And the audio in general. As for the gameplay, I used an emulator to try the Amiga version. Well, I've seen worse junk on the NES. I still have a feeling that the NES version would have much better sound, or Nintendo didn't gave a license because of that (and probably that's the reason it was canceled).
Ugly? No. That's ugly http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=P3GOCJRHJkg  I remember playing that when I was a kid, I had to change disks between a hadoken!!
Yuck:icon_toil the SFC / SNES version is mines better than that and that's only a 16bit system. Yakumo
That's not the same game, SNES/SFC had Super Street fighter II. This is Super Street Fighter II Turbo. slight difference
