Would anybody here know what the price might be on one of these, i was just at a MovieCo and they had one and id love to have one in my house, its such a fun arcade game. ive never seen anything like this on "the market" so if anybody here owns one themselves please let me know..id love pictures and there setup.
i got some more details from coinexpress Unit Price: $7995.00 USD Quantity: 1 Available: 3~7 days Condition: Good Monitor Size: 29" Voltage: 220V Power Consumption: 420W eeck...bit more i was thinking maybe 2 grand not almost 8 goddamn.
Yeah, for newer games expect to pay hella money for full cab. Can probably build a "cab" based around the PS3 version for a fraction of the price.
yup i guess all those superflat and big screens are the things that cost the most when producing machines like these. 8k is a good price i guess, but then again thats a lot of money..
Go to an auction, probably $3000 per unit. It's probabaly $7995 per side of the double, so $15,000 for a double. I can't see it being $8000 for a double unit.
how much is shipping for sth like that usually like from japan to europe? it must be heavy as hell+expensive..
i was thinking 2 grand because when i saw it in person it didnt seem THAT impressive, but maybe thats because it had alot of wear and tear on it.the game is fun but not worth that much money for the original arcade experience.
yup those lightgun shooters are pretty mindless these days. i wonder how the new sega arcade "rambo" lightgun shooter will turn out.
are you serious? a Rambo shooter?? h: that'd be awesome if it was just you sitting on a .50 cal blastin' Burmese soldiers left and right. if it's half as gory as the film it should be pretty sweet.
yea a rambo shooter would be crazy...hope its like you holding a sniper rifile shooting sum bitches across a field...thatd be badass...maybe a machine gun or somethin
yeah rambo all the way although the arcade-game, which features next-gen graphics based on an all new hardware powered by a Core 2 Duo and nVidia 8800-based graphics chip. looky look: Rambo's debut event. so basically this is going to be a computer stuck in a box..wait maybe this is coming to windows or some other OS as well since it runs through very similar hardware that is on pcs.
PC's have been used in alot of arcade games for a few years now. The new afterburner game used it. I haven't seen a rush of PC versions though. This is partly because they tend to run on Linux, so you'd have to port it to Windows anyway. The most important reason is that all the games are only fun because of the cabinets. Not many people have their PC connected up to a big screen either. Maybe in a few years things will change, but I can't see it happening in the ps3/xbox360 timeframe. The games that do run on windows have generally been cracked and some of them will run on generic pc hardware. Others are more picky about the sound and graphics card you have. DirectX makes it easy ( whether you want to or not ) write software that only runs on certain configurations, which is the reason why console games are more popular with developers.
If they run using linux then why arent there version of it on the web where we can run it with linux? Theres this like megatouch game i know uses linux and it has a game on it called photohunt, id love to get my hands on just that game...its fun as hell.too bad i dont have a touch screen ha.
Well first off you have to find somebody that has the game that is willing to dump it, and then you are going to have to crack the security that is on it.
