note this might look like spam at the start of the post but isn't --- don't read this if you don't care about the info in the letter --- Got this in my mail today: "Dear Customer, Since February we have been working hard on a new project - a program which would allow to easily unlock IDE and SATA hard disk drives at a very low cost. And finally we released it! HDD Unlock Wizard will remove an unknown User or Master password and your hard drive will be ready for use. HDD Unlock Wizard will be absolutely free until June 14th, 2006, so if you have a hard drive you'd like to unlock, it is the right time to download HDD Unlock Wizard: http://hddunlock.com/download/" --- start read again --- so I thought "what the heck.. let's try it on my papperweight ex-xbox hdd" (I had made the stupid misstake to run the recovery disk on my retail xbox ;D) and to my supprise the program actually DID unlock my drive (thought it erases all the data from the drive.. but I didn't real care about the data anyway).. and b\c it was free until 14th June it didn't cost me anything.. so my tip of the day would be: if you got some locked hdd laying around somewhere try this program while it still is free, and you might get a extra free hdd wow.. that was along post ^^
Nice find. That reminds me, I need to do something with my that extra borked Xbox I have sitting here. Hmm, I wonder what it would take to put the guts of a 360 in it...
