ahhh i spoke too early, i found 2 dead or stuck pixels, thankfully both are near the edge of the screen and arent noticible under usual play, still i might run that anti-sticker program, might, otherwise, im happy

    cheers

My second PSP didn't have a single dead pixel until months later (A few days ago). I returned my first one because I thought I made a "terrible" mistake in upgrading, so I told the people it had dead pixels, which it did.

can anyone point me to the link for that stuck pixel fixer, mixer, elixer, i don't think the few i have are dead, as they glow white and on certain colors go away, is there any concern to using this?, would it cause more harm to the psp?, does it work?

also anyone have a link to a good psp site, homebrew psp site?

    cheers

Some people say not to use it as "they" say it can stick some as well as unstick others.

Unless it really pisses you off, I wouldn't bother. I have one dead pixel, in the top right and it only shows (black) on white backgrounds.

    *update*

Got Legend of Heroes this morning, and it is awesome, totally wipes the floor with most other RPG's of it's type, apart from the constant grammatical errors:

"food friends are hard to find"

The sort of stuff that slips past spellcheckers and student beta testers.

thanks Tac, thankfully there only on the top, though the one i noticed today, is right near the other, its not a major concern, im just that person, who wants everything perfect. I've been playing THUG2 and Wipeout today, i might spring for burnout tommorow, dunno, how's tokobot, could you explain on what its about?

Tokobot is brilliant, think Pikmin, with robots. It has a lot of ideas borrowed from other games, thinks like from Jak & Daxter, Crash Bandicoot etc, but it is a good game. Best bet is to watch a few videos on IGN, see it running for yourself, much quicker than me trying to explain.

Go for ridge racers over burnout. Its a plain better game, burnout has hour long loading times and just really isn't that great

of the 3 games i have, wipeout, atv and thug, the load times arent horendous, i guess if you were to be playing in 5 minute bursts, it could be bothersome, but for me the load times arent that bad, i actully favour atv on the psp over the ps2 version, its quicker and loads faster.

As for tokobot, im checking out some vid's now, i might pick it up, or maybe something else, is the framerate really that bad in GTA?, i've read a hand full of reviews, and non have mentioned frame rate issues

Well, if i get a PSP, i would only use it for emulation/movies, not really playing games, kind of like a Archos but cooler

I'm pretty sure pspupdates.com will have the biggest archive of legal psp stuff. They have a few dead pixel programs there.

umm, one more quick question. I was wondering, if there was a device similar to Nintendo's wifi adaptor. something that could hook up to a pc via usb, and provide a wireless signal through out the house, as to get online with the psp/ds. I would have done a wireless network, but my dad insists on hooking it up to an aging p133 in the basement, which is impossible, does something like this exsist?

errr...and im also buying the japanese version of Ridge Racers,as its cheaper to import it than buy it locally(go figure) is there anything diffferent from the north american version that i should be aware of?

Not with the PSP. It only supports Access Points not peer to peer networks, as I found out a while back (and a pain in the arse it was too). It is possible to get it working with a wireless card, but then you aren't using it "on the internet" it is simply tunnelling a local wireless game over your internet connection.
Easiest just to buy a cheap as hell AP. I got one for £25 and it works well enough
Well it's in japanese for a start   Easy to work out even with no japanese skills, main text is in english as well, all other parts are trial and error.
