You guys watching the Republican National convention?? IMO, most of the speeches from the big guys sounded pretty damn good compared to the Democratic National Convention. I just started watching Bush's speech and DAMN he looks younger(suprised look, not that gay look lol). Anyway, his speech is gosh darn good. He thanked Tony Blair explicitly for helping us in Iraq as well as Australia, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, El Salvador, Italy and some others I forgot about that he probably mentioned. (11:07pm), he's talking about 9/11, but he's talking about it neutrally, he's just talking about the family's lost loved ones, he's not boasting about how he was there within the day after 9/11.

I admit I'm a little biased but I felt the RNC speakers were far better than the DNC ones. John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and George Bush all gave great speeches. The only great DNC speakers this year were Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. The rest including Kerry were just ok at best.

The one though who I thought gave the best speech though by far was the keynote speaker Zell Miller. Even though he is retiring from the Senate it took a lot of balls for him to break away from his party and say what he did. I respect him for that and would have no problem voting for him. Politicians like him are unfortunately a dying breed.

Took a lot of balls? Bullshit. How much do you think he's getting paid by the Republicans for his "treachery"?
As a Republican he would be just another partisan face in the crowd, but as a Democrat (in name only), he makes for an interesting talking point, and give the Rep's another chance to shit on Kerry while avoiding discussing any real issues.

Wanna hear what he was saying in 2001?
And they have the nerve to call Kerry a flip-flopper?

Besides, Ronald Reagan Jr. had a huge effect after speaking at the Democrat convention in '84, didn't he?

Im not even american, and I still found myself flipping back to the channel all the time the past few days. Watched the whole Bush speech at the end and even though I dont really care for him much I thought it was very well done a should help swing some votes his way. Just goes to show how big a deal Bush and this election has become as this is the first time I or anyone I know actually payed any amount of attention to a US convention let alone election.

To give him credit (despite the fact that he is the Antichrist), it was a well delivered speech. Just a shame that it contained absolutely nothing of any substance.

Cahaz is referring to an episode of the simpsons when lisa becomes a vegetatarian, Mr Burns makes a comment to smithers about making a donation to charity when pigs fly, just that moment a pig gets shot from a cannon past their window.

This is what I tell people who don't want bush in office, and I only say this to stupid people, and i'm not saying you're stupid cahaz cuz I know you're not.

"If you want Bush to lose. DON'T VOTE!"
