I know this forum shouldnt even exsist...it has nothing to do with unreleased games and the such, but i've finally ran out of patient and have no where else to turn..

I recently bought Toca Race Driver 2(NTSC) for my Playstation, i bought collin mcrae 3 ealier, and found that i like there stuff, so i bought toca2..now here lies the problem, i suck at racing, i like driving around the track...but im not that great at racing...so i found toca2 extremly challanging...

i decided that i would use cheats to unlock all the cars and tracks...but..

codemasters makes you pay for the cheats(i dont have a paypal account)

so i tried many different cheat sites to get codes for it....when you delete your save the code for the disc changes...and thats how cheats are created...by the number of the disc....problem ive printed out some lists of the cheats for different discs.....but my disc never matches any of the listed ones....

    my disc number is 0110

    could someone please help me?:(

  2. Omg, you actually want to use cheats on a racing sim!!!!!

...Don't do it, just don't do it, it's supposed to be a challenge, god all those hours of coding a quality game will go to pot :(

If you can't handle a sim buy a game like Flatout, Juiced or Outrun 2 your'll have far more fun, if your enjoyment is "driving around the track" :)

Gran Turismo 4 will offer a lot more in the field of actually teaching how to drive properly. The license tests may go on FOR EVER, but they do help!

i run time trial...trying to beat my best time...i like competition....i just dont have the time...and for gt4.....bought it...played it...beat most of it (except the endirance races) and i found gt4 control to be way too tight

    do you work for codemasters?..lol..

i understand what you mean.. codemasters has built one the finest racing sims ever.....it blends a little arcadey control with some beautiful sim control and graphics.....

i hate games like flatout, juiced etc..theyre just not "simmy" enough i like my games with a good control(that isnt arcade) and sizeable amounts of tracks on which to race.....im not tryin to cheat...well yea i am....i just want to race the tracks sooner...

  5. Ah, thats cool, I see where your coming from now...

...You respect the game, you just want to play more of it, which is totally different from wanting to 'finish/cheat/waste' a game.

    ...I'm sorry I can't help you with any shortcuts m8 :(

I used to really suck at these simmy racing games until I began to understand the whole notion of using the road correctly. Entering turns properly and apexing is the key, just watch Formula 1 drivers as they zig zag through turns to avoid having to brake and downshift as much. Just watch for the racing line on the road and try to follow it as it usually indicates the best path through a particular course.

The other aspect I found to help me a bit was to map the accelerate and brake functions to the ABXY buttons. For some reason, whenever I map these functions to the analog triggers I wind up accelerating like mad and and braking hard because I tend to mash down the triggers instead of feathering and adjusting them precisely. The digital buttons may help you maintain better control in regards to this.

I prefer using analogue controls for the accelerator and brake, though it does take a lot of practice to use them properly. With PS2 games I still prefer using the right stick over the buttons - I know they're all analogue too now, but there's barely any travel in them, making them pretty useless...
