Hi, i'm a newbie here, I just got a t10k with Emulator(t14k?) inside. I took a picture of it plz let me know if the thing shown in the picture is not t14k(installed in the pci slot of the TOOL). I'v been searching something like instruction to get it to work, but still haven't found anything:crying: if someone know what i need to use it plz help me. Thanks in advance.
That does look very much like a TOOL with the earlier model of PC board and an emulator card. I'm sure unclejun will be along shortly to give you the lowdown ;-) Stone
Welcome to the boards dr.daichi. It sure looks like a t14k board. Did you receive any discs with your Tool? You need a software for windows to control the emulator. I sent you a PM.
I found a few images on the emulation hdd, and tried to run them but there was no change to TV screen. Anyone have idea??
Starting emulation is just like inserting a disc. The TOOL won't start the game automatically, you have to reset the PS2-side first. After you have started disc emulation, invoke DSEDB and enter "reset f0002 100". If everything works, your TV turns black, some messages appear on the debugger console, then the game starts. The parameters of the reset command specify how the PS2-side behaves after rebooting; the first one is for the EE (main CPU), the second one for the IOP (I/O Processor). You can find a full list in dsnet.pdf, which is stored somewhere on your TOOL's HDD. Try "find / | grep dsnet.pdf" to find it, or use one of the links on the TOOL's web site. In this case, the flags perform as follows: "f0000" disables system call parameter checking. If your game invokes certain kernel routines with invalid parameters and this flag is not set, the TOOL will stop the game and display an error message. As this is most likely not what you want, these flags disable error checks, so the TOOL behaves more like a debugging station (whose kernel ignores errors of this kind). "00002" starts from disc. If it is not set, the TOOL waits for an executable to be sent from the PC. "100" starts the IOP in TEST mode. This is required if your game uses (or might use) a different library version than the one present in the TOOL's flash memory.
I doubt dsnet.pdf is stored on his Tool, SilverBull, I added it to yours and edited the web interface...
Oooops, you are right. Good job on that; I didn't notice until now, even though I've seen more than one TOOL's setup page. Silly me :banghead:.
TDOMGS2 could be The Document Of Metal Gear Solid 2, so assuming this unit came from Konami (unless one of the previous owner put it on the hdd) I wonder what are WingZ B1 to B4?
as on the picture - emu is inside, so you would need software to use it (hopefully additional HDD is also inside) now just listen carefully unclejun, he will help you really a lot
SilverBull> Thank you for your detailed explanation, I'll try that. unclejun> A kind of dev project, I guess. I googled it but found nothing related. DevL> I already talked to uj about the software and am now waiting for something.
now t14k is working fine, Great thanks to uj, DevL and everyone who helped me. I found a linux version of the emu software on the PC board's hdd, it was in /usr/local/snsystems/dvdem/bin, I'll post about it soon.
