Probably because you broke a number of marketplace rules (as Shiggsy kindly pointed out in the thread).

    1) You posted an item for sale with less than 50 posts.

    2) You posted an item for sale valued over $100 US with no photos including your name.

    3) You posted an auction with a price with no set end date.

If you're going to flaunt the rules, it's not suprising that your post would disappear. There's no "WTF?" about it.

I don't think anyone around here cares if you run off to ebay. It's not like we're losing anything as a community and anyone that might want your item can just bid one it.

Good job mocking the site proprietor... dumbass

Being rude to the site owner is gonna get you really far here.

Anyway if you cant be bothered to take your time and look for the correct place to post then you cant expect us to be falling over each other to try and help you to sell you stuff. Also i delete the thread and there were two posts that i know you saw as you replied that clearly explained what you were doing wrong.

So unless your really slow you knew full well why it was deleted.

Next time you have something deleted it goes in this topic:

I couldn't care less if it was the owner of a newbie. If you don't explain what's wrong, noone learns.

That's why it's freaking stupid to just delete a topic instead of locking it with an explanation. Then you can RE-OPEN it and a person can adjust its topic.

I guess you're all too stubborn and too proud of your status.

And why couldn't you be bothered to read the rules before posting?

How could these two not be clearer to you as to why your post was deleted?

I didn't know this forum had such rules, because it's really unique. I'm on a bunch of forums and I just assumed the rules would be the same. I was wrong. Thankfully, hl718 explained it to me kindly. I would've edited my post, but it's deleted. I can't get it back. All the effort I put into the text/pictures is gone now. Any idea how that feels?

And oh, if you look up to the owner, ASSEMBler, that much, don't you think it's incredibly wrong to say "get the fuck out" to a guy who simply asked for what went wrong?

    To be fair:

    1) The marketplace rules have been stickied for awhile. No matter what forum you join, you should always read the rules before assuming. And Shiggsy *did* explain it to you in the forum, as did I. Even after Shiggy explained what you were doing wrong you didn't edit the post.

    2) Considering the OP at the beginning of this thread ends with "What the Fuck?" it's a bit of an exaggeration to say that you "simply asked for what went wrong." ASSEMbler may have been overly blunt, but he wasn't the first to start cursing via acronym.

Best to chalk it up to experience and move on. If you sell in the future remember to check the rules, post pics with your name in them and choose to either set a fixed price --or-- run an auction with no fixed price and a set end time (as per the stated rules).

Follow the rules and your posts will stay in place with no issues.

They're there for a reason (for far too long the board was used as a hit and run sale board for new users). The whole point of the marketplace is to serve as a trading post for established members who contribute to the board. It is a secondary function of ASSEMbler, not the primary.

He didn't explain the whole picture-stuff. He just said I needed 50 posts, so apparently, even people like Shiggsy don't know the complete rules.

But whatever, you're all a big suckup. I couldn't care less. I'm not going to type all of that again, so suit yourself with your rules. Have fun.

The point ASSEMbler was making is that if you are going to be an ass then none of us care whether you stay or go. Follow the rules and you're gold, act like a jerk and you can just leave for all we care.

I'm not trying to run you off. It's just that we've had our fill of people flagrantly breaking the rules and acting foolish. If you want to start shaping up and acting like a decent person then I'm sure we'd all appreciate it. And if you decide to leave none of us are going to cry about it.

That's jumping to conclusions. I didn't even check your pictures and I didn't see any need to point out other rules that your post didn't meet the requirements of, the 50 post one was enough.

Aren't we done with this already?

If you don't like the rules, move on. It's not like this is the only place you can sell your stuff.

When you register / join a community, you must follow the rules and that's it. They exist for a reason.
