How can it be dead? My PC is on and has been on since the torrent went up. I've seeded 3.4gb so far. Does it matter where in the world you are? People should still be able to download.
Showing none on utorrrent for me, all my others are working just fine. None the less I have the files I need and my app is working anywhere else I need it so I am just fine. Thanks for the heads up though guys just wonder why no peers/seeds are showing at all on my side. Ports are open so that isn't the problem.
I am not worried about it I got the PSD files and play my build anyhow even over my pressed disc. Not sure why as I am connected to six other trackers without a problem.
I played the repack by Atreyu (cold that by the same name as featured in The Neverending Story?) Anyway, yep it is a lot better at loading. I have noticed far more objects in the levels that were not there in the pressed version due to loading issues. It is a bit more stable and the laser while still going ape shit at times does have more down time which is good.
I've heard this runs better on rev0 Dreamcast systems. I know the fan is different and the GD ROM is better, but is that really enough to make the game run differently then on newer Dreamcasts?
If this game genuinely runs the DC hotter which in turn causes the DC to crash then the heatpipes, hypothetically, would be a better cooling option. So far nobody has done anything remotely like a study with actual data points to see if it does handle things better. Observations are nice but I'd like to see temperature readings as well as logging of crashes that can be matched up to temperature readings and what have you. So far we have conjecture that makes sense and is totally plausible but no evidence to actually back things up. Which won't stop anyone from attempting to procure a va0 just to play Geist Force with anymore than the lack of any evidence showing acupuncture will cure liver cancer will stop anyone from seeking it to cure their liver cancer.
VA0 runs hotter anyway - which is what the heatpipes are there for. They just offset the additional heat, they dont make it run cooler than a VA1+ You could put the heatpipes into a va1 though if you wanted to actually make a difference.
i put mine in a bucket of ice, water cooling may not be easy to fit the pipes etc although i have not looked into it.
The va0 is the version that died on me while playing the retail disc. I just took all the comments and notes I could find and packed them together.
