Toshiba Sattelite L675D Blank/Black screen problem

Hello, I am in need of some help with my laptop, I have this Toshiba laptop that turns on and everything BUT the screen is blank,black,dead,fried whatever you want to call it, I can hook it up to me T.V using VGA cables and everything works just fine. but I need to be able to use it outside of the house for school. Anyone here got any tips? I can't afford a new computer till the end of summer... so yeah :/
