Not bad at all, but not perfect yet. Look at how he puts his hand through the flower and the lightsaber. Also, the shadow of the hummer when it goes over differently coloured "terrain" (i.e. the paper). In fact, I don't think the helicopter had a shadow at all! Still, it is a very interesting technology and you can see it would have useful applications. The question is, what do you actually get for your money? Do you buy a product which you control, or do you hire their services? And how easy is it to create those objects? I love the fact that it is possible to "really" have the James Bond style 3D holographic presentation on your table - very cool! Although again, they edidn't do shadows on that building that grew It will be very interesting to watch this technology develop
I think I saw shadows on that building. This type of technology might come in handy for future...say....D and D games, that are played on a board. Just have a 3d animated model attacking or whatever. Instead of miniatures, you could have real life 3d models. That would be cool, I guess. Then...Japan makes an animated Hentai 3d model.
Pretty amazing. This will problably bring down the cost of doing cg on movies down a whole lot. It will be interesting to see how this technology will be applied towards games.
uh... only works with a camera, so you cant see it unless you look at the monitor, i pretty much find it useless, space channel works like this, graphics over mpeg video
This is very interesting technology indeed. Just imagine how this could advance the playability in games. Not beingto see the object in real life isn't a problem to me. Yakumo
Oh, snaps! I thought this was like a 3d hologram that you could really see with some type of projector thing from overhead or something. Well...if someone made a virtual reality helmet with cameras on it or something, you could fix it to fight "real" monsters and things in your own home setting, or outside if you dont like being embarrassed. You kinda see what im saying?
