The Neo Myth cart is very good, but it could benefit from nicer software. The YM2413 (for FM in SMS games) sounds distorted though.
Apparently the Neo Myth carts have a few compatibility issues with a few games like Sonic and Knuckles doesn't load at all. I wouldn't really say it's worth the price either, but I'm guessing that's for covering the manufactoring costs.
I think that any compatibility issues are caused by the use of bad dumps and region incompatibility, i.e using a Japanese ROM on a European Mega Drive.
I've hit quite a few games that do not work on the Myth, but do on my own flashcart aswell as MEgaCart
Is there a pattern among the games that don't work? It's kind of pathetic considering the number of years this thing has been in development and how little logic is needed for MD games, even with bankswitching and SEEPROM emulation.
I've not encountered one single game that did not work. - Which games were the ones you had problems with ?
The Neo Myth needs a custom SegaCD bios and it hasn't been released yet.... I've made a small review of the cart here http://www.nesworld.com/smd-neomythcart.php
Well, you've tested a beta version, and practically everything you criticize is related to that beta status. (which is why it was sent out for free to testers and reviewers, and why it costs $149 instead of $199 for everyone else) I have yet to find a single game that doesn't work. - As far as I know MD/SMS/32x games aren't using a variety of weird mappers you'd have to emulate like with the NES, so all regular games should work with this cartridge. Oh, and I love your site! Been a fan for years
