thanks yzb, the program seems to work perfectly. I noticed in your earlier posts that you have these files open in pvr viewer, however i cant get them to open no matter what i do. is there anything special that needs to be done to see them in pvr viewer?
EDIT: I got them to open. I had to use the scan for pvr function and it only worked with certain files from the decompression
2nd EDIT: Wow, there is truly so much interesting data in these files. A couple of random things that didnt seem to make it into the final build, and also picture of what looks like dev hardware and some random photos of what i guess to be the dev team.

ptz3233, are you legally allowed to posts some of these finds up? I'm truly interested in seeing some of these hidden photos on the disc!

    Thanks! Great thread, great find!

It's pretty selfish to act this way. To ask for help, getting helped and then say: Wonderful, I found very nice stuff but I wont share them!

    I did the job dude.

Since developers are French, files name are in French. Some of them are pretty funny:

    12SALOPARDS.GHQ

Salopards meands bastards, 12 probably because they were 12 to devellop the game.

    PIPI.GHQ

    Pipi means pee...

So what about the exciting stuff ?

In MENU.GHQ I found what is probably the dev team:

    01.jpg

    Found in XFILES.GHQ, XFILES_SECOND_SEASON.GHQ and PIPI.GHQ:

If you have time to waste, I have made a file that contains all GHQ files from the NTSC game, PVRViewer with the .bat that uncompress GHQ files:

    https://mega.co.nz/#!c8JlDYBZ!-r-SfjHlZ-_hqEi14ijAvZjXOpPmptZlfi5GtLmeisg

Simply right click on each .bin file (you get them after you uncompress GHQ files) to get PVR pictures.

Thanks to yzb37859365 for his help!

Just purchased a Pre-Production disc of this game, never played it before, but it was a lot cheaper then retail on eBaY, I'm hoping it's identical to the retail build or at least complete.

Dump it with an SD adapter and share GHQ files! Maybe it contains different files.

It's probably already in the TOSEC or TrueRip set...

Thanks for sharing the info and pictures and for all the hard work! Great thread.

According to the text on the label it's a copy of the master disc. No "BETA" or "not fully tested" just "Pre-Prodcution". Nearly all white labels with this text are identical to the PAL release.

So I've spent the last year or so looking through these files, looking at PAL JAP and NTSC, and looking through the demo discs and special summer and winter editions. There is not much difference between any of these versions. The one thing I've noticed is with using yzb's decompressor, the second file is the only one that contains textures. This leads me to beleive that level data, models, and sound is stored in some of the other files, but I have no way of reading those. I've also tried to disassemble the games executable, to not real avail because I have a small understanding of assembly code. The next thing I'm looking at is trying to make gameshark codes for this game, to be able to modify things, maybe look for a debug menu of sorts if it exists, kinda like the one found for fur fighters. If anyone has any idea please let me know, I've spent too many hours to give up now and not learn everything I possibly can about this game.
