Visited my local Toys R Us today (2 minutes away) to see if they had got in their Wii stuff but as of yet there was nothing (Nov 22nd they'll get it all in) but they did have the area set out for it. The space it's given is three times the size of the 360 and bigger than what the PS3 has (which also includes PSP) so it looks like toys R Us Japan are really going to back the Wii. They did have a unit running a Wii promotion video which I must say wasn't really very good quality at all. I've seen far better FMV on a Dreamcast ! Still, this may only be a cheap quick effort put together at the last minute (I hope). The image quality was quite sharp though. They also had the extra controller there which looks like it comes with a type of user training disc filled with mini games. Yakumo
That is wii play. It includes 9 small games. Over all they are ok but the big deal is the fact you get a few mini games for $10. I'm pretty pist off how much NOA sucks right now. USA wont get this till next year and I wont buy any extra controller till this comes out (i dont mind paying $10 to get wii play over just getting another controller).
No you wont since no online games will be out till around march or later. Yet you still can go kill me in Gears of War later this year. Oh yeah. Wii play is now dated for January 15th in usa. So gonna get this & wario in january.
The more I think about the Wii, the more I really want one. I saw one today on display at Target, and I saw the preview guide at WalMart. At first I thought the "wiimote" was a gimmick, but after watching through the demonstration, and thinking about the actual gameplay value, it started to look more fun, more interesting... more "unique." And the price is so much more convincing! Looking good in Japan. -Concura
Damn, i dont have GoW.I think i d suck at it.I sucked at CS, i was good at quake3, which was run n gun EDIT: I have no gold account either.
I'm the opposite suddenly. I was all ready and hyped for the Wii just yesterday. But then today something struck me, and I'm alot more critical of the Wii. Suddenly I'm drawing comparisons between last generation and this one. Last time I bought a GC first. I barely bought any games (and there barely were any games). The ones I bought were all Nintendo offerings really. This time around, what is the cool looking? Nintendo offerings really. I still haven't seen the 3rd party support, I never got to try out the controller before launch day, I'm worried about spending 250$ now to play whatever games come out between now and the first price drop, etc. The biggest thing is that when I think about GameCube, If it hadn't been my only next generation system at the time, then all the 3rd party multiplatform titles I played on it go out the door. And with Wii, I already have a 360, so any multiplatforms I have the 360 for. So that makes the Wii down to exclusives. But what's exclusive? Nintendo devved games. Games that they will develop reguardless of what I decide to do. So why don't I just wait until the prices drop? I'm not in that big of a hurry. I mean hell yesterday I hooked up the old Genesis to play Battletoads, and I'll play it again today since I didn't have time to play all the way through. I'm thinking rather than buying the Wii, where I was originally planning to spend about 375$, I'll save that money and look for a LCD HDTV that can handle Mortal Kombat (JAMMA).
