The Japan Japan Forum seems to have sprouted quite a few translation request topics as of late. It seems a bit off to take a place where we can all discuss Japanese daily life and turn it into a translation service. I'm sure most of our members located in Japan do not mind translating a few things here and there, but the amount of clutter is distracting. It would be nice to consolidate all of the requests into one topic and sticky it for future use.
I thought this was a good idea. I was kind of surprised that there hadn't been more requests before - although it is nice that people have managed to make do on their own. I'm sure it would get annoying for those in Japan to be constantly asked to translate! In order to help keep the requests to a reasonable level, I posted some links over in the sticky thread that should help people translate text for themselves. I also made some translations of two of the Japanese translation pages, so people can use them. I hope they are of use!
