Transmeta VLIW as handheld CPU

    Anyone else wondered if Transmeta's Crusoe chip would make for a good hand-held console CPU? If you strip off the code-morphing layer and allow direct access to the instruction set, it could be a good choice. With the relativly small size of the LCD screens and so on, it could make for the next generation of hand-helds. I bet the code-morphing layer could be optimized for C or Java...
