Wow. I've never seen one of these before. Doesn't seem like there's that much inside it either...I had always assumed that the Neo CD was huge because its insides resembled something like that of a 1st Gen Sega Saturn. Apparently it's a pretty clean design from an internal standpoint.
That'd have to be a hell of an LE if that's only #6 (and a nice one, to boot)! My hunch is that it's a test / proto / debug unit of some kind.
