Treamcast and SegaNet

Does anyone know if the Treamcast has internet capabilities? Is there a way to connect it to seganet?

 

They don't include a network adapter. You'd have to obtain and fit one.

 

Okay, but is there actually a slot or something to install one in? or would I have to open up and do some modding to fix it?

 

The original slot is still present. I don't own one to say for certain if it works correctly.

 

Okay, thanks. It is still possible to play online so I do want to give that a shot through a TLS/Netopia setup.

 

Was the treamcast a pirate console from the ground up? With every component pirated or was it a way of refurbishing used dreamcasts?

 

Not a pirate it uses an real DC mobo but the PSU is custom made. I own a black one and the slot for the modem has be removed and desolderd so you can't use a modem or BBA as I tried to hook mine up. Then again mine is the third revision so I can't speak for the v2 or the much larger v1 those may still have them.

 

I have the original version, it's designed not to fit.

 

Noting is impossible with a good x-acto.

 

You have the one with the HUGE over lapping screen? r the white one that is the same size as the shell? if so that is revision 2. The very first one I had the screen was about four inches wider then the system as it still looked just like a DC with a LCD screen. About two inches over lapped on each side.
