I have an EXPORT BIOS motherboard, however I really want JAPANESE as that's where all the cool games are available. Does anyone know whether the BIOS is similar to the Naomi in the sense that it's a chip that can be removed, or is it impossible to change and I'll need a different motherboard? There is very little online that is immediately available on this system. I tried taking it apart as soon as I got it, but frankly there must have been a screw or something I couldn't find and in a ten minute tussle with the board I got nowhere, didn't want to damage it and gave up. Just found a manual that states 'Simply slide the case apart' (D'oh!) So I want to have another go. I really want a shot of Virtua Striker!
I'd also like to know that. Parris, have you noticed that a bloke at sega-naomi.com has a couple of export games for sale?
Hi parris the region is located in the gamcube motherboard, i dont think you can swap it as you can swap a naomi bios, i dont even have a backup of my jap one Alex
Thanks for the heads up, I hadn't noticed. Not paid attention to the sales thread on there for a few weeks. Will have a look now. ;-)
