I have been using this Scart raw sync cable to get RGB from my original SNS-001 and RGB modified Mini SNS-101 (with sync reconnected inside). I finally tracked down a 1chip SNS-001 (full sized) but I'm not getting any picture using the same cable. My question is, why does a regular Super Nintendo (SNS-001) work perfectly without any modifications via raw sync Scart, while the 1chip doesn't? The 1chip does output s-video and composite fine. Do I need to order a standard non-raw sync Scart RGB cable for the 1chip SNS-001?

You should open your SNES and check the model revision of the mainboard. There are several different 1chip variations. SNS-CPU-1CHIP-01 SNS-CPU-1CHIP-02 SNS-CPU-1CHIP-03 The 1CHIP-03 doesn't have CSync connected to the multiout. So if yours is a 03 then you know why your screen is black.
I have the 1chip-01. I connected the c-sync to the multi-out (just like it is in my SNES mini) to test and it still didn't put out a signal.
