So in theory, if I wanted to be risky and attempt to flash the 1888BETA recovery disc on my Slim Proto, if it completely kills the kit, I can just simply pop in a recovery ISO that i've used before successfully, and all will be forgiven and forgotten?
Yeah... DONT!!!! I killed a slim prototype like that and it took a nandx and a year of hair pulling patience to get it back to life. It was a huge pain in the arse.
It seems like it would be fixable with a donor and a nandx. If I see a trinity dev on the marketplace I might just pick it up in hope of getting this one working.
I wouldn't go THAT far it won't fix no effuse brick, if you were silly enough to muck around with older recoveries and re write the fuses you might just deserve the headache to fix that heheh also a beta recovery would brick the fuse set beyond any sort of repair anyhow .. like @XboxSurgeon said ... uh ... DONT!!!
No, just asking if the OP's problem was solved or not. Offtopic: I have a feeling it's because i have a Test Kit that i can't downgrade.
This shouldn't be hard to fix, a donor nand from a trinity should fix it. Assuming it has the right smc and shit. Maybe you could even get one of the retail tools to compile one for it.
That's what I'm thinking but finding a donor is not as easy as I thought Still need a donor though. Someone I turn it on and hope that it'll just work haha
