Hello everyone, I have been wondering and searching online to the answer of the problem but i cant find anything. So i have this Super Famicom with supercic mod and so far it played all my snes games perfectly. Both Pal, USA and Japanese games. Now i tried inserting Pocky and Rocky (USA) but it doesnt work. I didnt widen my cartridge slot so i use the "programmable Universal Adapter" to insert my usa games so i dont have to mess up the SFC. When i try to launch it it just stays black, seems to be the game doesn't even start. Tried inserting the board alone but same issue. On my Pal Snes without mod the game works perfect except its now modded so it runs 50 hz. I have tried 2 adapters, 1 orginal Mega drive 1 and some adapter i bought off ebay with the following spec so i didn't need a stepdown converter, the label reads: AC/DC Adapter Model: JNY-0920 Input: AC100-240V~50/60-hz Output: 9v (DC sign) 2A This adapter was labeled as a SFC adapter for the use in europe and basicly it works fine On the orginal Sega Mega Drive adapter i encounter the same issue. Does anyone experienced this issue before and maybe has the fix for it? This forum seems to be my best bet for this question since i cant find the answer BTW: its not a 1-chip SFC. its a GPM
anyone has an idea? i basicly didnt try anything else so far because i dont know what the issue could be because it works on my Pal snes no mod tho. Could there anything be wrong with the mod itself? maybe the console?
i actually got the game to work with fiddling the cartridge, pressing reset a bunch of times. The cartridge pins dont look dirty at all and all other games seems to be working perfectly fine in the console. Edit: this seems to work consistently. insert the game, pull it out while the console is on, put it back, reset. Now this makes me go yikes everytime, afraid to break the console or game at a certain point, if anyone had an idea/suggestion how to fix this would highly be appreciated
