Im trying to make a starfox2 cart using a stuntrace FX

my soldering seems ok and im pretty good with soldering

but I get a blank screen

im stating to think from researching that I am using the wrong starfox2 rom

what is the correct starox2 rom to use

    thanks

Unless you forgot to remove a 512byte header it should be fine. If the file was exactly 1 megabyte in size then it had no header. Then just try to load it on an emulator, if it plays then you're fine. Most likely your soldering or wiring has a problem. You can very easily have a bad connection or broken pcb trace/pad.

I removed the header and tried on z snes

and used a pin out chart to convert pinouts from mask to eprom

I used a hot air gun to remove ic so the traces are good and non touching each other on pcb

    just don't understand

does the file have to be byteswapped as I didn't d that

the rom I used was the Starfox2 beta (TD).srm

srm extension is usually the contents of SRAM not the game itself. How big is this file?

If you're sure the ROM file is good then there is something wrong with your wiring or the ROM chip itself. Test connections, inspect them. If all the connections are good but it doesn't work still, you might try removing the ROM, dumping it if possible, and seeing if it was corrupted or programmed wrong. Then maybe try another EPROM.

thats exactly it im confident my soldering is good the dunp was fine i checked that but what i suspect is the ROM file is not the correct one, that is used. i read the goodsnes set does not contain the file that is commonly used for repro carts

What happens if you program your ROM chip with Stunt Race FX?
