So there was this game that I saw once in the arcades when I was six years old and I cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. It was a maze type game (this was 1982) and it was like a cross between pac man and dig dug, the main character was a red circle thing that had arms that spun and dug through the ground. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
Uhhh, could it be digger? or heiankyou alien? I too am looking for an old arcade game... it would've been around in about 87, and sat between Shao-Lin's Road and Out Run at the local sports centre, and was replaced by Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh, then Operation Wolf (both of which came out in 1987). It was a game where you had to cross a train track, and not get hit by the trains.
No, wasn't either of those. The graphics were a little more advanced, think Pac-man but red, with spinning arms that dug through the ground. I also think the red-thing wore a miner's hat on the cabinet art. Can you remember anything else about the game you're looking for? Like what company made it, if there was a home version, etc? There's another game I remember from about the same period, it was some kind of race where you were this elf-type guy with an olympic runner's outfit and the whole point of the game was to get from one end of the screen to the other, but the screen was filled with obstacles (like walls, waterfalls, mini-tornadoes, etc.) You didn't die if you hit something, it just slowed you down while the other elves advanced. I think this game had 4-player simultaneous play and came out around 1984. Anybody?
I can't help you with the name but this page might. http://www.klov.com/ If you can remember the first letter of its name (or spend hours searching) you'll find it here.
