Or at the earliest 2004. It is American, and involved buying sets which include the game cart and motion sensor item, be it golf set or baseball bat. I'm pretty sure I saw it in a thread here, but my searches drew up nothing. Any ideas?
I think is what you may be talking about, I could be wrong http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0009ETFTO/002-9267952-8294447?v=glance
There was also this: Xavix http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...1/102-1702284-6120946?_encoding=UTF8&v=glance It had bowling, baseball, and tennis "games" you could buy. I might be really wrong here, but I think that might also be the same company that made the Kenshin Dragon Quest game for Square Enix.
i think you mean xavix that Rabid Peanut-Butter posted since it's cart based and was released in 2005 in the usa.
The Xavix hardware has been used in a lot of games, not just sports games. That system, the Xavixport, only had (has?) sports games, but as Peanut-Butter pointed out the Kenshin Dragon Quest system was also Xavix-based. Pretty much all the plug&play systems with unique control mechanisms have been Xavix-based. There hasn't been as many in the U.S. (there's only two that I see in stores now, one Star Wars game with a light saber controller and a paintball game with a gun controller), but Japan there was dozens including driving games, rhythm games, pinball, shooters, casino games and just tons more. It has been mostly used for sports games, though, both in the U.S. and Japan as well as on the Xavixport. ...word is bondage...
I have the Xavix. It is a total waste of money. It's just silly, it is. But, as a collector, I must have it all, even the worst of the worst.
Kenshin Dragon Quest is Xavix-Based? I want that game SO bad. I've wanted it since I heard it existed. Anyone here have it?
I donrt know if its the same hardware or not but there is a snowboarding game available that is similar to the paintball game and stuff.
Cool, I've never even heard of that Go Go TV Games system. It actually superimposes the players image onto the screen into the game? That's pretty cool. I really have no idea if it's Xavix-based or not, though. Do you have one? There's a set of Xavix-based systems called eKara that are all-in-one karaoke machines...that idea is not entirely unlike this (almost like visual karaoke). This system looks like it's maybe a little more advanced than the Xavix stuff I've seen, though. But yeah, that snowboarding system is Xavix-based as is the baseball one _skitzo_ posted a link to. Most of Radica's stuff is Xavix except the ones like Tetris or Space Invaders and their Sega Classics systems. In Japan, I think a lot of the Xavix stuff is from Takara. ...word is bondage...
Glad to be of help. I don't own it, but my previous roommate owned it. It is one of the BEST GAMES EVER! I spent alot of time with it and had a shit load of fun. I just didn't have the money at the time to buy one for myself (there is a two player mode as well). A great way to release frustration as well. It is because of this game that I know that the Revolution will be great.
The Star Wars lightsaber game is most likely about the same as the Dragon Quest game and since it's not an import, you could probably pick it up considerably cheaper. ...word is bondage...
Nah, the Go-Go tv system seems to have 16 bit level capabilites. It's not exactly an edutainment machine, but definetly aims for the little kid market. The Xavix console was actually made by a group of former Nintendo employees.
