I am trying to fix up the Turboexpress so I have 2 to play with, one as spare. However the last owner must have been a noob because he did a lot of damage to the mainboard. I had to remove all the "new" caps as it's unbranded and may fail in a few years, repair damaged traces, and I am waiting on kit from Console5 to show up.

When I examined the other parts, I noticed the connector cable seems damaged like it was shoved in very hard without lining it properly. Some of the pins have come off the plastic backing

Since I doubt I can plug that back in and have all the pins stay in place, where can I get replacement cable? Or anyone knows the pin spacing so I could replace it with something different? I don't want permanent connection between mainboard and controller board in case I need to take the system apart again.

try ironing the connector, that will usually re bind the pins enough to allow you to reinsert it
Edit: Ive done that on sega cd cables, mileage may vary but the cable is similar in construction
