TurboGrafx 16 RGB/HDMI output

Hi all,

Was given a TurboGrafx Express that I just did a full SMD cap replacment on and got the urge to dig up my old TurboGrafx 16 but the RF output will not cut it now.

I've found a RGB output board

And then found another that had a mini potentiometer to adjust

Now my question is which one would be the better choice in terms of video quality, I have no experience with either and would like some input on both.

My last question(s) are, what would be the best method for attaching RGB outputs and if possible, where online do you get the actual jacks to hook up the RGB out's?

I would recommend Tim's AV driver board.

EDIT. I just realized you are talking about an express. I'd imagine tim's board would be too big for that.

 

Oh my mistake in the post, this would be for the TurboGrafx 16 console, I am leaving the Express alone now after the SMD cap replacement.

 

one is component, the other is RGB
