Hey guys, I just installed an rgb amp in my turbografx and am getting some weird colored bars on my image now. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Also, the volume coming from the system is incredibly low. I have to turn the volume to 100% just to barely hear it.

I would say grounding problem. Did you connect the two grounds at the console side? If thats not it. You might need to pick a better earthpoint?

I ran 2 ground leads from the expansion port pinouts. One ground to the amp from one solder point and ground from a different solder point to the 8pin din port.

I reread the pinout definitions and one ground is labeled as ground analog and the other is labeled as ground digital. I have a wire going from each. Does that matter? So I have digital ground going to the amp and analog ground going to the 8 pin din

I had that problem. Just connect the two grounds in the cable and the lines should be gone. Using two grounds creates some kind of ringing effect.

Is this an NTSC Turbografx? The audio is low because it is unamplified

Could you be a bit more specific? Do you mean I need to open the actual Scart cable? Thanks for your help.

Just do wathever is easiest for you. For me it was easyer to open the male end of the din 8 and connect the ground pin with the " shield". I guess you could also connect the two grounds on the underside of the female din 8 on the main board. I read somthing about it being poorley designed. There are small inductors on one of the grounds making them have diffrent properties.

*srtrike that* im ithinking of the pc engine core grafx.
But still. Checking that the grounds are joind in the cable might solve the problem.
