Please disregard the ignorant title. Stupid phone autocorrect cable to cable modem and its capacitors not resistors. Maybe mod can fix for me cause it won't let me.
Anyway. The turbo system I obtained last year came with this nifty composite cable. My friend would like one so I snagged some 23 x 3 connectors and figured I'd reverse engineer it. When opened I discovered that the creator has capacitors in place. Now the composite signal coming from the expansion port will work by simply connecting wires from a composite av cable and proper ground. Why would the creator have used capacitors for this cable? Pic of the opened up cable box attached.

They just get rid of noise and other problems like that.

While I haven't made an expansion composite A/V connector myself, I know the audio output at the expansion port is also not line level and should be run through an amp of some sort in order to get it to spec. I can't quite see what is under all of that mess, but ideally it follows the schematics out there for proper A/V signal output.
