I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, or if I have started this in the right place and I apologise for this if it has!

I live in New Zealand and Development Kits are very hard to come by here (as in I haven't ever seen any for sale on our auction sites), so I've been looking on Ebay mainly for the mighty PS2 TOOL and found a DTL-T10000H for $800usd with a delivery fee of $260usd on top!

Finding this machine sparked my curiousity into the other PS2 TOOLs that Sony made, so I did a Google search for the DTL-T10000 and found this awesome little community! I have since entered into talks with a member and am aquiring a machine to go with my other one!

However in all my research I haven't been able to find a DTL-T15000, I'm guessing that they're very rare and expensive?

So my question is this:- Apart from the performance analyzer installed in the DTL-T15000, what are the major differences between the 10k and the 15k? If any? (I realise that the 10k has a PCMCIA slot and the 15k has a DEV9 port) Mobo, PSU e.t.c, and how hard would it be to transform a 10k into a 15k? I'm reasonably technically minded, so if it can be done I would do it all myself!

    Thanks PS2Guy!

Huh? Would someone care to give some more information about this
performance analyzer please for those of us not at the conference.

    Cheers,

    Chris

The performance analyzer is the guts of a T10000 with lots of wires hanging out
of it. The wires are connected to a Tektronix logic analyzer that logs the
state of each wire each ps2 clock cycle. It has enough ram to log 7 frames of
data. Sony provide some nice linux software for graphing and animating the
    data.

There are no direct references to the T15k in my docs, probably because it had only just been exposed at the time of writing and yet to go into distribution but I'm guessing that is all it was? Anyhow hope this helps
