    Hi guys,

I have a copy of Twisted Metal 2 for PC, but the disc looks different from the official version that I've seen everywhere. The printed graphics are orange, and it doesn't have the 3dfx logo or anything. It's in the correct case, though.

Can someone please tell me what this is? Thanks!

    It looks like this:

I didn't know there was a PC version at all. Interesting.

Yep, they exist. But this one has me scratching my head.

I checked the disc again (the face with the orange graphic), and the inner ring on the CD has what appears to be three letters lasered onto the disc: S M T. I looked closer, and the S looked odd. I flipped the disc over, and it reads "T M 2". So it looks like it's an authentic disc, and not a fake.

    Strange.

On the contrary, such a simple matrix code suggest a pirate/bootleg rather than official. Most legit plants have more production numbers there, though not necessarily. GameCube and Playstation etc. matrix codes are standardized as they are only manufactured at a select few plants licensed by Nintendo, Sony, etc., but not PC games, so in this case the matrix code doesn't tell anything for certain either way. (What does the normal discs have written in the inner ring?)

The disc does look fake to me without any dev/publisher logos and legal text and such, but I know nothing about TM. What is it supposed to look like? Maybe it's missing a screen or two in the printing process? (As the disc at the bottom of this page: http://crimson-ceremony.net/lostreleases/item.php?id=regame_re1dc-ps1-usa1)

that is 100% obvious a fake. Really shitty print on the disc right over the inner plastic center part too. I've seen many Saturn and PSX silver fakes like this from China back in the 90's.

You right, Yakumo - it's just a chinese pirate from 90's.

Oh, and in case anyone cares, this is what the game is supposed to look like:

The PC version of TM2 is a rare find. Even rarer is the supposed PC version of TM1, which has only ever been mentioned to exist but nothing physical has shown up.

I was about to add the same thought. Anyone have pics of Twisted Metal 1 or 2 on PC? Are there differences--better resolution, perhaps?
