So does anybody here use twitter? It seems really cool with the things that you can do, and the way you can update from your phone and stuff.

twitter, yeah. To me it's for those who want to be "special" Shit, if I wanted to get in contact with a shit load of people with limited space to express what I wanted to say then yes, twitter would be great. However I'm the sort of guy who'd rather pick up the phone and talk to people I know properly or send a mail.

I give twitter a year before it dies off. I just don’t get the big fuss about stuff like this.

I'm with Yakumo on this one, I don't understand either what's the big deal about Twitter, it's like FaceBook but without everything except for the status update bar, so to say.
I'm getting tired of all this social networks thingies... I just closed my myspace and I'm getting a bit tired of FaceBook too.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, as my time looking at Twitter has been 7 minutes (about a month ago or so), so maybe I haven't seen much as to give an opinion on this.

Haha sorry I didn't know a topic already existed about it. I think it's interesting and can keep people up to date and stuff.

I don't get it, either. It's like a public diary. Your diary should be private, if you even keep one. What did people do before all this?

We're willingly giving up our privacy, broadcasting to the world every minute of our lives. What a waste of time.

When we're finally made to give up our privacy rights, it won't seem like such a big deal, because 90% of us already willingly have. That's my take.

I read reddit, isn´t that enough ? , in comparison to diggit (bury it) and twiiter and all the other crappy "social networks" such as myspace and facebook, but fuck it. if it rocks your boat, then fine. I don´t care about that. Heck , I have had it with the so-called "social networks" for a long ass time, heck I remember Jubii chatten (now known as the Lycos Chat) that was my only experince with "social networks" and damn it sucked. But then again it was there I chose the name WolverineDK. But hey let us call it a coincidence.

I watched the Gadget Show a week or two back (Channel Five UK show) when they tried to organize a dance off using ONLY Face Book and Twitter. They had a week to prepare. For that, Twitter was a easy winner and for something like that I can sort of see the point but come on, how many times in your life would you be doing something on that scale? One or twice maybe?

Social networking is just the "in thing" that all lemmings jump on only to abandon it when the next fad comes along. Of course, that's just my opinion.

PS: just a litter twitter for you all.

Just had a dump. Boy, was that smelly! More on my life soon:rolleyes:

Well, back in the day we used to make "friends", which is what we called people that we met in real life and took a liking to! Of course back in those days we had to amuse ourselves by rolling a hoop down the street with a stick (and sometimes we didn't even have the stick), but there were fewer motor-cars back then so it wasn't as dangerous as it would be now-a-days. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, so my "friends" and I went down to Old Man Thurber's pond one day after school and *blablablabla*

I use Twitter with the same username as here.

I have no real use for it at all, it's just a bit of fun when the forums and facebook are quiet.
