Two Xbox 360s in one box project. (maybe an original too)

I am planing on putting two Xbox 360s in one custom made acrylic case and then water cooling them on one loop, I was going to go over kill on the cooling and put in 2x 360 RADs in it for the cooling.

The reason for there being two machines in one box is one is going to be a Live console and the other is going to be the JTAG system.

I am limited on my desk space so putting everything in to one box would save on space and would just look cool.

I am running in to one problem though. Before I tell you all the problem just keep in mind that I have not even started designing the case yet and I am just wanting to get my logic set first before I start buying parts.

The problem is I don't want to have to use the standard Xbox power supplies on them, I would rather use a hefty power supplies from a PC (I have an 800 watt corsair laying around) and just use the one for the two machines.

The Xbox's don't need to be able to turn the PSU off and on and I am OK with the power supplies being on its own power switch. (plus being able to run the water cooling while the 360s are off to cool them all the way down would be kinda cool). I am also open to removing the header for the stock PSU adapter from the motherboard so the power supplies is on the inside.

I am also playing around with the idea of putting an original Xbox in the mix too. (maybe just one as there is no XBL for it anymore) And I am also open to putting a PS3 in it too but that may be put off for now as I never was too big on the PS3.

For the Video I was just gonna use a KVM switch to switch my VGA and USB around (I use a XIM Edge and a wired controller).

If you all could offer any ideas/advice on this build I would love that. The power supplies part is what I am needing help with but I am open to any other ideas/suggestions.

All I can say is to get at least 300 watt for 2 360s and around 500 watt if an original box is going in there too.

I had a similiar idea but it was basically going to be an xbox laptop with a xim3, xkey+hard drive and screen all built in. Mostly because I have so much stuff to back around it would be nice to build it all in a self contained case. Keep us up to date on your progress.

I think I am over thinking this but I am trying to think if it would be possible to run all the different Xbox's off one power supplies at one time. This is what has been breaking my mind so much when trying to even start the project. Would the power supplies be on (using another switch) and I just turn the motherboards of the selected Xbox's on and off or would the motherboards come on if the power supplies are on?

This is something I would normally do an experiment with to see if it would work but I don't want to risk accidentally frying 2 360s and 1 original Xbox.

I do plan to do a work log once I get the power supplies issue worked out, I may even do a video work log if i get a decent camera, my Galaxy S2 is good quality but focus would suck for anything soldering/micro related.

Also as an added note I may even leave enough room inside for another video game console like the next Xbox but that will be later down the road.

As a preliminary idea I am going to probably going to place the original Xbox on the bottom, the JTAG in the center and the live one on the top. The motherboards will be horizontal and so will the DVD drives.

In the back towards the lower center I would like to place the power supplies and a filtered 120 MM low RPM intake fan. I haven't put much thought on the placement of the radiators but I am thinking about putting them on the sides and having the exhaust go out of the sides.
I don't know if I want a reservoir in the case or not yet I may do one but it might just end up being a T line if i don't find one I like. and the pump will be mounted towards the back.

For the 360s I am going to try to get these blocks. But I still need to figure out what blocks will work on an original Xbox, I assume if I am putting this much thought in to it I may as well add it to the project too.

Wait why wouldn't you just glitch one and get a dual nand?

Exactly. Just install a DemoN. Then you can switch your box between stock/live and rgh/xlink.

Yeah, just get the dual nand and sell the second xbox to finance that.

I was thinking about doing the RGH on a 360 but would rather just have two machines in it, I already have all the water cooling equipment, power supplies and the Xbox's. I just need to get the blocks, reservoir and build the case.

I am just more comfortable with having them separated (I also think it would just look cooler).

Yes, if your power supply is strong enough then making a convert (atx to xpsu) would be possible.

You could ohm out the propper ping and just desolder the reaer stock power connector and rig up a 4p molex.

That will be some heavyweight with all that hardware inside, you might need to use a server rack .

should convert to rgh with dual nand
the x360pro is a cheap alternative to the demon
although can become a hassle to upgrade nands each time you update your dash
