There has been a Tyrian 2000 GBA ROM circulating the internet. Apparently it was cancelled and released as freeware. Does anyone have information on this (developer, publisher, last set date of release)?

More importantly, are there any prototypes floating around?

I have no idea, but I have heard rumours about OMF2097 on the GBA, and I hope they don´t fuck it up. Since that game is a smashing great beatem´up game.

  3. http://members.iinet.net.au/~vannevar/tyrian/info.html#GAMEBOY is the most info I've seen on the GBA version. The downloads section of that site has the ROM images for both the GBA version as well as the scrapped Gameboy Color (!) version as well. The GBA Tyrian is a lot of fun, and would definitely be worth getting a small flash cart to enjoy on real hardware.

Tyrian is the shit, they just don't make 'em like that anymore :-(

  6. And really, what can be said against a game where you can fly in a carrot and get a banana cannon?

I've only played 2000, not the original game, but I love it. I'm absolutely horrible at it, though.
