xD Well yeah..they are really ugly..i preffer collecting Original cabs ! Loving my Sega Cabs hehe!! They better would MOD a Sega Naomi Universal Cab..Would look ALOT BETTER.....
I couldn't even go through them all... I will admit some of them were rather... interesting... EDIT: I managed to get through them all. Now I'm gonna go and get this aneurysm I formed from it fixed...
I don't know how anyone can look at that site and keep a straight face. I've seen it many times and the images and comments still make me laugh. So funny. I just wish it was still being updated.
Wow, I have never seen that website until now, & I thought I had seen some of the worst Mame cabs. The thing that still makes me shudder the most upon seeing it is when a cab has the Player 2 controls flipped, so that the joystick is to the right of the buttons. I have seen that so many times, what a huge fuck up.
Is anyone else having problems getting the Facebook page to load? Just says page not found for me. that other mame ink is awesome though good stuff thanks.
I can't remember where, maybe it was Brazil (?), but someone mentioned in the past that it was the standard in their country for the player 2 controls to be inverted. People would grow up being a player 1 or player 2 player.
Really? That's definitely interesting to hear. It would make sense considering how many times I have seen that. Still though, bad idea from the start.
Even though I'm a lefty having the controls inverted like that would throw me off. Screw the idea of symmetry doing that. Function over "artistic" form here. And the "function" aspect looks just fine to me based on all the old Pizza Hut arcade games I've played many years ago. Lost many a quarter to Mortal Kombat...
My custom-built showcase MVS cabinet is looking pretty ugly at the moment... the laminate started to come off the screen bezel, so I removed it, and now it's just a 27" Sony PVM sitting on a box. The bezel and marquee really makes a difference. Unlike these people, I acknowledge it's not complete right now, and I'm not silly enough to post photos online.

^ Things that need to be put out of their misery... With that said, here are 2 more arcade tables I came across. This one is ALMOST good. The thing about it is how tall the joystick is and exposed base. http://hackaday.com/2013/01/15/coffee-table-arcade-cabinet/ This one is even better thanks to the hide-away controller. Only fail on it is the wood panel for the controller board and exposed screws on joystick. http://hackaday.com/2013/01/16/coffee-table-arcade-hides-its-controls/
