Does anybody know the SCPH number of the 220v PSU supplied with the external 40GB HDD from the Linux Kit? I'd like to try and track one down if possible so I can stop having to use a stepdown with my 110v JPN external 40GB HDD/BB Unit. I'm quite sure the Linux Kit PSU is the same as the regular external 40GB HDD one.

Of course if anybody can fashion me with one then I'd be most greatful. I have a 110v JPN/USA PSU that I could trade also.

Thanx if you can help me :)

I am pretty sure that all the PAL based linux kits used the network adapter / hdd interface so were internal and didn't require a seperate PSU like the external HDD used on the Sony Linux Kit for the Card bus PS2s did.

If you can find one, the DTL-10020 supply which came with the DTL-H10030 external HDD kit for development TOOLs is 100-240v, should work with the regular external HDDs. The output specs for both the SCPH/DTL PSUs are identical - 12v DC, 1.5 amps.

IIRC, the regular retail external HDD kits (for BB & Linux) were only ever released in Japan, so were only 100v.

Another alternative could be to find a 240v PSU with the same output specs - the DC plug used seems to be (or close to) a EIAJ-4 type, so you'd also need to find one of those.
