Starting tonight at 8pm on BBC4 in the UK time for anyone interested ... 'The story of how a computer game developeed by a programmer at Moscow's Academy of Science prompted a global battle for financial rights with billions dollars at stake' :cool-new:
As you guys mentioned, sadly it was from 2004 ... I still found the whole backstory incredibly interesting though!
I have this queued up for tonight, preferably with a good glass of wine. Those of you that post these documentaries, please keep them coming! I thrive on this stuff.
It's not really a documentary, but check out the YouTube channel "playvalue" they have a series called Play Value with a lot of episodes dedicated to video game history. You could probably find a lot better documentaries out there but they're fun to watch.
I uploaded it there 8 years ago If you look on the forum under other shows, I'm the person who made the computer shows thread at the top and got it stickied. Unfortunately, my original account lapsed, so I can't update it any more. Yeah, it's probably online. It's certainly on iPlayer. You should get a VPN and use iPlayer, mate
Seen it a few years back and it's really good. Are there other documentaries about games worth watching?
