Does anyone know of a UK courier that will pick up at a scheduled time on a weekday (after 4pm) or any time on a saturday? The only ones I can find that will do that cost about £100....

You mean carrier, not courier, right? Interparcel are good, but won't do a guaranteed delivery. I think the only ones who do are DHL business service, and yes you'll pay through the nose. You could try Parcel2Go, I'm not sure whether they do or not but they have a wide range of services. Saturday collection is possible, or you could go to a UPS drop-off point (if they have them over here). Or your best bet, use ParcelForce, and take it to the Post Office.

A parcel service is a carrier. A courier offers a vehicle usually exclusively for your delivery, often a motorcycle. Couriers will get things there quicker... and charge the earth!
