    New battery and hard drive has been put in this week, but my firewire card has died so I can't restore it. Has a folder with an exclamation mark, but It's a brand new 5GB official HDD and a brand new battery (So It can't be any of them). Light scratching all round, comes with Firewire cable and AC Jack. I'm wanting £100 + Shipping for this or make me a decent trade. Hopefully someone can rid it off this error message. (Should be a really easy fix, plug into iTunes and reformat).

    Well if its a brand new HD and you haven't restored it because your firewire is dead, then that is your problem: The iPod has no OS to load. A restore will fix that for sure.
