Some good grime stuff there, try listening to some of the older grime from east London for some real gritty talent. Might wannah give tinie tempah a listen, he's pretty good. Would recommend his track with Chase and Status, Hypest Hype if you like electronic/ dubstep (not the shit womp womp stuff) and Next Hype.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0fk6syQ7iY Lyrics aren't great on that one but the tune is excellent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-FWDsXUCes&ob=av2e Another one of tinie's tunes I like... Also if you're into Dubstep then try these tunes out by Nero: Guilt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1ATFedwjnk Reaching Out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJVQJ4-n_cA Promises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llDikI2hTtk
I couldn't find the original mix on youtube, but here's a Skream remix. Landslide Vs. Slaughtermob - Splurt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQ-IPkCQm-I
The Streets are what turned me off to this entire thread, sadly. I like the clarity of British articulation, but with The Streets it seems to make the vocal delivery horrifically off-rhythm every single time.
I love this track, then again I'm a big fan of Plan B Chase & Status feat. Plan B - Pieces http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCcLlJgol0s Plan B feat. Radiohead - Missing Links http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7zwrh_plan-b-missing-links-ft-radiohead_music Plan B - Stay too Long http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wauIGhax9xg&ob=av2e
I'm not into The Streets myself ether, they talk with a really thick cockney (regional) accent, out of time as if their raps are staggering the beat. They do this on purpose I think for artistic effect. They're just not for me, and to be honest I don't think they had a massive following over here because they seem to have faded into obscurity of late. Got really sick of hearing that guys voice as the music channels and radio wouldn't stop playing them at one point.
