I am wanting to know what services people use when sending stuff overseas from England?!

I have used the obvious option of royal mail in the past but now they have changed there weight's you can no longer send a parcel over 2kg without having to throw your right arm in to pay for it.

What other services do people use?

Cheapest I can get a GDEV over to the US for is currently £72. I know for a fact that there is cheaper out there! HELP PLEASE!

My solution was to stop dealing with UK all together lol :) but this isn't helping you.

I remember another name: Parcel Force? maybe they are a bit cheaper?

I second that opinion - not found any cheaper and it still gets shipped by the likes of DHL ;-)

Remember to print off ALL of the paperwork. If you are sending to the USA or Canada then the paperwork is pretty annoying. Most European destinations are straight forward.

Because of the £/$ exchange the US buyers are starting to pick up again.

But remember what they say, you get what you pay for. I have been shipping stuff within the U.k for nearly a decade and have had nothing but problems with parcel2go, even within the last year.
Ive had numerous games consoles arrive damaged, and these were very well packaged (I run an online media shop, we know how to pack things!)

The worst was when they left a parcel outside somewhere and the brand new cardboard box it was in was deformed in such a way you could clearly see it had been rained on, a lot! Nice to know sensitive electronic equipment is stored in the open air overnight, lol.

The complaints procedure is just impossible, or at least it was about a year a go.

But anyway, just thought I'd chuck in my 2p when it comes to parcel2go. I use parcelforce for pretty much everything and never really had a problem, cheaper than royal mail as well.

Yep Parcel Force all the way.

Parcel(not)2go < read: uninterested middle men> were a nightmare never again to be repeated.

Strange, I have had totally the opposite experience with Parcel<Farce> as we call them in this household. I was getting a Pioneer laserdisc player delivered by PF and the guy walked up to the front door and DUMPED the parcel down with a sickening crunch. He looked at me and smiled, then pretended he hadn't heard it. In the end I asked him to wait whilst I opened it up...

Also had missing parcel with them and unless you can tell them the contents, you cannot claim! They stuck a card through my door, then the parcel simply vanished. It wasn't enough for them to have tried to deliver a parcel, have proof that it existed and that it was in their hands when it went missing. At the time I had so many parcels going out and coming in that I couldn't tell whether it was an item being returned to me or whatever.

Had a few items via PF turn up like ManU had used them for training purposes.

Never had any issues with P2go so have yet to experience their complaints department, but thanks for the double warning! ;-)

Well I have always used www.interparcel.com but lately there prices seem to have shot up. I think I will open accounts with both the above mentioned companies and see which comes in at the most competitive rate.

    Thanks everyone, helpful as always.

I uses to use 'Parcels 4 Delivery' for UK to UK, but for overseas I think they're slightly more expensive than Interparcel.
